Athens Area Humane Society Holiday Pet Food Drive
It’s that time of year again when we’re going to our families’ homes to eat big, warm meals and to celebrate our thankfulness for all the simple pleasures in life. But as we know all too well in this economy, more and more people aren’t afforded this luxury this year, and neither are their pets. We can all help these pets and their families over the coming holiday season, when having something as simple and necessary as food can make all the difference in their daily lives. For just $30 or one large bag of pet food, you can help feed one average-sized dog or cat for the month of December. Give the gift of companionship for someone who might not have as comfortable of a holiday season as everyone else—don’t make them have to consider giving up a pet at this time of year just because they can’t buy a bag of food.Donate financially online at www.AthensHumaneSociety.org or mail to 1781 Mars Hill Rd., Watkinsville, GA 30677. OR drop off bags of unopened dog or cat food at our Spay & Neuter Center, Adoption Outreach Center, or one of our many partner drop-off points listed on our website.
